Our Review

Replacing the disappointing Optio W80, the 12.1 Megapixel Optio W90 brings new life to the Pentax rugged line. It has a new rugged casing, built-in eye-fi card support as well as clever macro lights for easier and better close up shots.

Following the move by Canon D10, the Optio W90 comes with a new tough strap. Instead of a thin line, you get a woven fabric strap with carabiner. The company has also bumped up it’s tough rating — making it waterproof to 20 feet and shockproof to 4 feet.

Unfortunately, this Pentax doesn’t have an optical stabilizer, meaning that taking sharp pictures in a kayak or moving vehicle will be a pain.
