Best Waterproof Camera 2011 — Panasonic TS3

tipa award 2011 panasonic ts321 April 2011 - The annual meeting of the Technical Image Press Association has picked the Panasonic Lumix TS3 to be the Best Rugged Compact Camera for 2011.

TIPA has member magazines from nine European countries plus Australia, Canada, China, USA and South Africa and the TIPA Awards have always been recognized as the most coveted photo & imaging awards worldwide.

Apart from the rugged camera award, the General Assembly this year had also selected the best photo and imaging products in 2011 in 40 categories.

    I’ve gone through two Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5′s in the last year. There is a serious problem with the zoom. Camera shuts down. I would really hesitate to buy another Panasonic. Is the TS3 really more reliable? I live in southern Utah and I need a camera that’s “Kaaryn proof”. I haven’t found one yet. Can you help with a suggestion or two? Thanks. Kaaryn
