Canon D10 Wins Travel Award

Canon D10 12.1 Megapixel waterproof camera has been announced as one of the winner for the Best Travel Gadget for 2011 by the Travel and Leisure Magazine.

While the odd metallic shape of the Powershot may not appeal to most, it’s versatility and excellent performance underwater and on land made it a winner along with the micro-four-thirds Olympus EPL-2.

We have reviewed the Canon D10 since it’s debut in 2009 and is still impressed by the quality of shots produced by this camera. The only reason why we like the Panasonic TS3 waterproof camera more is because of the excellent HD video and better image stabilization. But in 2009, the D10 was clearly at par with the Panasonic Ts3′s predecessor.

The Canon D20 and D30 is expected o replace the Canon Powershot D10 somewhere in February 2012.
